**Dear TRIUMF Users and Experimenters,

Effective March 15, 2016, the entry requirements for those entering
Canada by air are changing.

Visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to, or transit through, Canada
will now need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). The eTA is valid
for 5 years (or until your passport expires), costs $7 CAD, and can be
applied for online.

This will affect:
• New foreign employees coming to Canada by air;
• Current foreign employees from visa-exempt countries who are returning
to Canada from personal or business trips by air;
• Any visitors to TRIUMF from visa-exempt countries arriving by air.

To find out if you need an eTA, please visit
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp.

This will not affect:
• U.S. citizens;
• Foreign nationals with a valid visitor visa;
• Foreign nationals from visitor visa required countries.

Permanent Residents of Canada will need to travel with their PR card or
permanent resident travel document when flying to Canada, and will need
to provide it when boarding their flight.

Entry requirements for those travelling by land or sea have not changed.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

All the best,
Niki Martin
for Jens Dilling
