<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-CA">We are accepting proposals for </span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">m</span><span lang="EN-CA">SR,
</span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">b</span><span lang="EN-CA">-NMR and PIF & NIF experiments.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-CA"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">m</span><span lang="EN-CA">SR and
</span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">b</span><span lang="EN-CA">-NMR are powerful tools for characterizing magnetic and superconducting materials, semiconductors and soft matter and for studying the structure and dynamics of free radicals. Information
about the </span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">m</span><span lang="EN-CA">SR and
</span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">b</span><span lang="EN-CA">-NMR facilities at the CMMS can be found at
<a href="http://musr.ca/">http://musr.ca/</a>. There are currently two surface muon beam lines (M15 and M20) and five
</span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">m</span><span lang="EN-CA">SR spectrometers (Dilution Refrigerator, Helios, LAMPF, NuTime, Omni-Prime) with a range of cryostats and ovens that can cover a wide range of temperatures and magnetic fields.
There are also two </span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">b</span><span lang="EN-CA">-NMR spectrometers for depth-resolved measurements using lithium-8 ions. The CMMS is a user facility with a staff of 7 scientists and 3 technicians who can assist
you in all aspects of running </span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">m</span><span lang="EN-CA">SR and
</span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">b</span><span lang="EN-CA">-NMR experiments including the preparation, execution and analysis.
<b>User fees and liquid helium fees have been removed for non-commercial users</b>, so there is no cost (apart from travel and accommodation) for performing
</span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">m</span><span lang="EN-CA">SR and
</span><span lang="EN-CA" style="font-family:Symbol">b</span><span lang="EN-CA">-NMR experiments at CMMS.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-CA">TRIUMF's proton- and neutron irradiation facilities (PIF & NIF) are recognized as a premier test site for space-radiation effects using protons and neutrons, which are created from the proton beams. More information about

<b><span style="background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow">The deadline for submission of new and continuing proposals is Tuesday, May 14<sup>th</sup>, 2019 at 23:59:59 (Vancouver time).</span></b> The next MMS-EEC meeting will take place on Monday and Tuesday,
June 17<sup>th</sup> and 18<sup>th</sup>, 2019. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-CA">Beam time will be available starting in September 3<sup>rd</sup>, 2019 and will run until December 2019 apart from a short shutdown in October. Awarded beam time can be used up to June 2021.
