Short Course on Monte Carlo Radiotherapy Treatment Planning

This short course is designed to train future Monte Carlo RTP users and 
researchers on the use of Monte Carlo treatment planning software. It 
includes didactic instruction and hands-on workshops. It is specially 
suited for previous EGS4, OMEGA/BEAM, and other Monte Carlo course 
participants, who want to expand their research into clinical dose 
calculation and IMRT plan verification. Working knowledge of a 
Unix/Linux-based system is expected to run our Monte Carlo RTP software 
(a complete set of software is available to registered attendees). 
Medical Physics Continuing Education Credits (MPCEC) are available 
(total of 18 points).

To facilitate instruction at the hands-on labs, enrollment will be 
limited to 15 people. Registration will be on a first-come basis. The 
course registration fee is $1600 (a 50% discount is available to 
students and trainees), which covers the course lecture materials, 
software (for beam simulation, linac phase space analysis, radiotherapy 
dose calculation, IMRT/VMAT dosimetry verification, DVH and 3D dose 
analysis based on CT geometry, etc), three breakfasts, three lunches, 
two dinners and refreshments.
