Geant4 Tutorial @ Massachusetts Institute of Technology
May 26th-30th, 2015

Dear Colleagues,

The SLAC Geant4 team will conduct a four day hands-on
course based on the newly released Geant4 version 10.1
hosted by Laboratory for Nuclear Security and Policy,
Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It will cover
all the application domains including high energy and
nuclear physics, astrophysics and space engineering,
medical applications and newly arising material science.

The lectures will cover all aspects of the toolkit of
Geant4 version 10.1 from basic installation through
advanced topics including multithreading and variance
reduction options, and will be interspersed with
hands-on sessions that build a progressively more
complex application extensible to real use. The course
should be of interest both to complete novices and to
those who already have some basic familiarity with
Geant4. Participants are expected to have a reasonable
knowledge of C++.

The tutorial starts in the afternoon of May 26th
(Tuesday) and runs through the afternoon of May 29th
(Friday) with additional discussion time for selected
topics in the morning of May 30th (Saturday).

The capacity is strictly limited to 60 on a first-
come-first-served basis. We will commence registration
as soon as the registration web page is ready, with
additional announcement through this mailing list.
The registration form will also be linked at this URL:
http://www-public.slac.stanford.edu/geant4/Tutorial.asp

Please forward this announcement to your colleagues
who might have interest.

Kind regards,
Makoto Asai
On behalf of the SLAC Geant4 team and local organizers
