Geant4 Tutorial @ Southern Methodist University
May 16th-19th, 2016

Dear Colleagues,

This is the second circular of the Geant4 tutorial
on May 16th through 19th at Southern Methodist
University, Dallas, Texas. There still are some
vacant seats available, and we would like to invite
you to register at your earliest opportunities before
they are taken.

This is a four day hands-on course based on the newly
released Geant4 version 10.2.p01 hosted by Department
of Physics, Southern Methodist University, Dallas,
Texas. The course will cover all the application domains
including high energy and nuclear physics, astrophysics
and space engineering, medical applications and newly
arising material science.

The lectures will cover all aspects of the toolkit of
Geant4 version 10.2.p01 from basic installation through
advanced topics including multithreading and variance
reduction options, and will be interspersed with
hands-on sessions that build a progressively more
complex application extensible to real use. The course
should be of interest both to complete novices and to
those who already have some basic familiarity with
Geant4. Participants are expected to have a reasonable
knowledge of C++ and Linux OS.

The tutorial starts in the morning of May 16th (Monday)
and runs through the afternoon of May 19th (Thursday).

The capacity is strictly limited to 75 on a first-
come-first-served basis. We will commence registration
as soon as the registration web page is ready, with
additional announcement through this mailing list.
The registration form and further details will also be
linked at this URL:

Please forward this announcement to your colleagues
who might have interest.

Kind regards,
