*Mark your calendars – Registration to begin January 1, 2019 for up to 40 participants!*____
*1 day course in San Francisco March 8th: Monte Carlo Simulation in Medicine with TOPAS*
_Format/Educational methods_: A one day course with lectures and practical examples. Participants should bring their own a computer (laptop) of our specification with ToPaS
loaded.____
_Target audience_: 20-40 medical physicists with basic knowledge of Monte Carlo simulation____
_Course objectives_: To provide the background necessary for participants to reliably use the ToPaS_To_ol for_Pa_rticle_S_imulation for Monte Carlo simulation in medicine.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of the Monte Carlo method and its application in medicine. They will then learn through lectures and examples how ToPaS provides a
simple, effective means to access the Geant4 Monte Carlo toolkit. Participants will leave the course with practical knowledge on how to get started on using ToPaS for their
own application in medicine.
_Date:_ March 8, 2019
_Registration fee_: $250.____
_Registration period (tentative)_: January 1, 2019, closing February 15, 2019 (or when reach 40 participants).____
_CAMPEP application statement_: This meeting has applied to CAMPEP for approval of 8 MPCEC hours.____
_Location_: UCSF Parnassus library 2^nd  floor double classroom CL221-CL222.____
_Accessibility_: The UCSF Parnassus library has a variety of services to accommodate patrons with disabilities. Please
seehttps://www.library.ucsf.edu/about/policies/accessibility/ <https://www.library.ucsf.edu/about/policies/accessibility/>.____
