> Prof. Alfredo Poves from the “Universidad Autonoma de Madrid” is presently on a sabbatical leave at TRIUMF.

> Prof. Poves is an internationally recognized expert on shell-model calculations. During his stay at TRIUMF he kindly offered to give a lecture course on the “Nuclear Shell Model”.  This course will be at a graduate school level and is aimed at graduate students and post-docs, theory and experiment alike.

> The course will start on Monday, Sep.8 at 11:00 a.m. in the ISAC-II conference room 223, second floor and continue from then on each  Monday at the same time and the same location.

> Unfortunately the room can only hold a maximum number of 20 – 23 participants. Please respond to this e-mail, if you wish to attend this course. This will give us an indication about how many participants we have to envision.
