Some of you may be interested in the training workshop advertised below.


*1**st **MEDICIS-Promed General Training, University of Manchester*


*Dear colleagues,*

*It is our pleasure to announce that the 1st MEDICIS-Promed General
Training will be held in Manchester, on 6-9 September 2016. This event is
the first General Training of the MEDICIS-Promed network. It will be
dedicated to two topics:*

*-       Fundamentals of nuclear physics*
*-       Advanced materials*

*The training will be completed with transferrable skills and presentations
on each work package by the ESRs.*

*MEDICIS-Promed* <https://medicis-promed.web.cern.ch/>* is a Horizon2020
Marie Skłdowska-Curie Innovative Training Network dedicated to the
production and research around novel medical radioisotopes.*

*The training will include 3 days of soft-skills development and lectures,
0.5 day of practical session and 0.5 of Graphene/2D group Seminar.*
*One of lectures will be held by Prof. *Novoselov who was awarded the 2010
Nobel Prize in Physics

his achievements with graphene.

*Time for general presentations by students is also foreseen. Everybody is
encouraged to submit an abstract.*
