GAPS 3MT: Don't miss your chance to compete!

Calling all grad students, co-op/undergrad students and post-docs:

Spots remain in the GAPS Three Minute Thesis Competition! Don't miss your
chance to compete for cash prizes: $100 each for first-place finishers in
the "Students" and "Post-docs" categories, and $50 for our People's Choice
winner. The competition will be held on October 24th at noon.

Participants will give a three minute (one slide) presentation of their
research, aimed at a scientifically literate non-specialist audience (the
actual audience will be your fellow GAPS members, plus three judges from
the lab).

If you would like to participate in the competition, please respond to
this email with:
1. your name
2. the name of your supervisor (so we can avoid conflicts of interest in
our selection of judges)
3. whether you’re a student (grad or undergrad) or postdoc
4. the title of your talk (if you have one already)

The deadline to register is October 17th.
