Dear Gentlemen,

No suitable candidates were selected during NNL’s last attempt to recruit two permanent nuclear physics positions, we are therefore advertising the posts again.  If you have any nuclear physicist PhD students, who have recently graduated or plan to graduate in the next few months, who might be interested please feel free to pass this note on to them.

The roles are centred around nuclear data and nuclear physics modelling supporting the backend of the fuel cycle.  The posts will be located at the Sellafield site and will be centred on supporting fuel reprocessing, waste management, decommissioning and waste disposal activities through computer modelling.  Although sited at Sellafield, the posts will include supporting both UK Government fission activities and International industrial research activities related to NNL’s National Laboratory roles, as well as supporting industrial support work at Sellafield and around the UK.
