Hello Theresa,

I am hoping you wouldn't mind sharing the following news and volunteer opportunities from UBC Let's Talk Science with your network.

Let's Talk Science Information Sessions

Let’s Talk Science is a national science outreach organization consisting of university-specific, independently operated chapters. UBC Let’s Talk Science volunteers are role models for young Canadians. As a volunteer, you will meet like-minded people, make a difference in your community, be eligible for prestigious awards and rekindle your love of science.

We set you up for success by providing training, activity kits, funding and materials. There are several (up to 10!) different programs run by UBC Let’s Talk Science that you can learn more about by RSVPing to one of our virtual info sessions on September 30, October 2 and October 7: https://forms.gle/d1XBrJAUSFqoETGBA<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforms.gle%2Fd1XBrJAUSFqoETGBA&data=02%7C01%7Cgaps%40triumf.ca%7C67b4534fa5d449c5d15e08d85ff8d609%7Cc20535109cb34679a2d38f442e03b587%7C1%7C0%7C637364869649044685&sdata=aWequhKroqV02M2QZNFSAdSlB9%2FBnBBwh34gwz6sUJ0%3D&reserved=0>

Volunteers needed for the Teacher Partnership Program

The Teacher Partnership Program pairs a volunteer (a.k.a. the scientist) with a teacher in the Vancouver community. The scientist will virtually visit the teacher’s classroom throughout the school year and leads the students in fun activities. This is the core program of LTS in which the science topics are chosen by the volunteer and educator together. For information or to sign up, contact Mariposa at partnership at ubclts.com<mailto:partnership at ubclts.com>

Volunteer wanted: Graphic Design

Let's Talk Science is seeking a motivated volunteer to develop digital content for our social media/other platforms to grow our presence online! Previous experience is an asset, but not required. National office supplies templates for communication documents. For information or to sign up, contact Morgan at volunteer at ubclts.com<mailto:volunteer at ubclts.com> or morgan at ubclts.com<mailto:morgan at ubclts.com>
