Deadline: 15.10.2018. <br>
<br>
The Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main,
Germany, Department of Physics, invites applications for the
following position: Professorship (W1) for Experimental Physics
The appointment as professor (salaried employee) is for six
years (§ 64 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Hessen
(HHG)) and subject to a midterm review. According to § 64, para.
3 HHG the doctorate should not date back to more than four
years. The professorship is competitively announced in two
different subject areas of experimental physics. We are looking
for an early career researcher whose research profile is either
in the field of "Proton-induced reactions and their applications
in experimental astrophysics" or in the area of experimental
solid-state physics with a focus on "Materials development of
electronically correlated or low-dimensional quantum materials".
The successful applicant should be able to exhibit international
competitive research experience, demonstrated by an excellent
publication record. It is expected that she / he will work
closely with the existing groups in the respective research
area. Furthermore, in the application ideas for the
establishment of interdisciplinary projects with the Institute
of Geosciences are requested, in particular with the group of
the Wilhelm Heraeus Endowed Chair for Deep Earth Processes. The
salary for the position is based on “W1” on the German
university scale. The Goethe University aims at increasing the
number of women in research and teaching and therefore
explicitly calls on qualified female scientists to apply.

can be found at <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="http://www.vakante-professuren.uni-frankfurt.de">www.vakante-professuren.uni-frankfurt.de</a>

publication list, list of third-party funding, short
presentation of the research concept) by 15.10.2018 in
electronic form to the Dean of the Department of Physics,
