Hello All,
Please join us for this weeks journal club at 3:30pm on Wednesday in the
MOB theory room.
As usual snacks and enlightening discussion will be provided.

This week's discussion ring leader will be Matt Williams on the following
paper:
https://journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.119.261102

A few discussion leading questions:

1) How is this method of gravity wave search complimentary to projects like
LIGO?

2) Why do gravity waves only have two modes of polarisation and what is the
difference between gravitational wave and light polarisation?

3) What are Voronoi cells and how does their usage reduce the computational
effort to search for gravity waves?

4) What could effect the observed proper motion of the stars to give a
false positive signal for a gravity wave?

5) Why is the detection of nano-hertz frequency gravity waves an important
field of research? Are there future projects are dedicated to this topic?
