Now that I'm done with my candidacy exam (yay!), I can once again think about doing fun things. </span>To that end, I'll probably go to one+ yet-to-be-decided day of The Covenant Festival, which runs this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. ( <a id="yui_3_16_0_1_1496761874542_11575" href="http://www.covenantfestival.com/vancouver.html">http://www.covenantfestival.com/vancouver.html</a> ) From their description, this is "a yearly tradition of housing the harshest black/death metal and the finest neofolk/dark ambient in Vancouver, BC, Canada". The lineup appears to be full of bands that I'd never actually heard of
previously, but which basically all sound pretty good. </div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1496761874542_14758"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1496761874542_14458">Previously it looked like one could only buy a three-day pass for $90, which seems like a lot, but it looks like they've now introduced a more affordable pricing scheme for each individual day.
