Transitioning from academia into industry

Dear Graduate Students and Postdocs,

You are invited to participate in a panel discussion on “Transitioning 
from academia into industry with a physics degree”.

Our guest panelists are:

*Tommy Levi, Senior Data Scientist. Plentyoffish Media Inc,*

*Michele Petteni, Software Engineer, EA SPORTS, *

*Doug Schouten, Research and Innovation Associate, CRM Geotomography 
Technologies.*

After a brief introduction highlighting their professional careers, our 
panelists will introduce themselves and describe their experiences, in 
particular their successful transition from the academic world into 
industry. The remainder of the event will consist of questions from the 
audience.  Resumes, networking, interviews -- ask and find out how they 
did it. So, bring your questions!

If you are thinking of making this transition, this is great opportunity 
to meet and interact with three physicists who are now applying their 
knowledge in the private sector.

The event will take place in the Main Auditorium on November 28th from 
noon to 1:15 pm. Pizza will be served at 11:45 am.
