Hi All,

Please see the message below from Melissa Baluk about meeting with some art
students from Emily Carr University.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Grad Students and Postdocs –

Enjoy a stimulating conversation over coffee and dessert as art, science,
and creativity come together on Tuesday, October 6th.
As part of TRIUMF’s Artist-in-Residence program, a class of 18 students
from Emily Carr University of Art + Design will be visiting the lab on
Tuesday, October 6th, 2015. The TRIUMF visit is a key component of their
course, entitled "Black Holes and Other Entanglements in the Studio,” and
will include an extended tour of TRIUMF and reception. This follows a
lecture on “The Quantum Universe” offered by theoretical physicist Jason
Holt two weeks ago.
You're invited to join us at the Hot Spot Cafe from 4–5 pm for an informal
reception. Coffee and snacks will be served. Bring your colleagues!
The students may have some questions about your research or what you do at
the lab, our facilities, or may wish to discuss the relationship between
art and science. They may also look to discuss some ideas or share some
sketches with you.
We welcome your RSVP though it is not necessary.
Please join us for what a great opportunity to perhaps see gain a different
perspective on TRIUMF and science more broadly!
 Cheers,
-Melissa
