Call for Entries: TRIUMF Community Invited to Enter UK-Canada Research
Photo Contest


Dear TRIUMF Community,

The British High Commission in Ottawa is currently holding an Images of
Research photography competition to creatively capture UK-Canadian
scientific collaboration and they have specifically reached out to TRIUMF
to encourage participation from the laboratory.

The contest is currently underway and entries must be submitted before the
contest closes at 12:00 EST on Monday, November 2, 2015. This is a great
opportunity to exercise your creativity for a chance to win airfare to the
UK and accommodation (up to £1000).

The contest is open to members of the Canadian and UK scientific research
community in all disciplines, including academic staff, research fellows,
postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students, and research technical
support staff. Plus, TRIUMF’s Strategic Communications group is happy to
help with contest entries. We can even lend you a camera!

To facilitate TRIUMF contest entries, the Strategic Communications group
has put together a webpage (see link below) that summarizes the contest
information, links to the contest rules and online entry form, and even
includes a really simple photography guide.

TRIUMF has many connections to the UK. For instance, TUDA stands for the
TRIUMF UK Detector Array. Does your current or future field or experiment
link Canada and the UK in some way? We encourage you to check out the
webpage below and invite those eligible to submit entries for the Images of
Research photo contest.
