Coffe Hour today at 4:30

[SGSPD]

Hi All,
This is your weekly reminder that there will be a coffee hour today at 4:30
in the ISAC II break room.

In other news, the SGSPD is launching a rebranding campaign, due to the
fact that no one can seem to remember the acronym. The new acronym is GAPS
(Grad And Postdoc Society). Please take note of this very important change.

Upcoming GAPS events:
* Postdoc Lecture Series: Ragnar Stroberg's lectures on the nuclear shell
model continue this Friday at 2:00 in the MOB Theory room.
* Spetember 25 (Friday) : Tour of TRIUMF, including  muSR, radioachemistry
and the e-linac.

Other events
* A new IsoSim course “Application of Radioisotopes in Science and in
Medicine” will be offered this fall through UBC. All are welcome to attend
the lectures, but you must be a UBC student to enroll for credit.
* UBC Postdtoc Mini-conference Tuesday September 22. (See recent email for
more details)
