Job announcement by Prof. Sean Couch:

Hi JINA,

Applications are invited for a Research Associate (postdoctoral) position in theoretical and computational astrophysics in the Department of Physics and Astronomy and Department of Computational Mathematics, Science, and Engineering at Michigan State University. The successful candidate will collaborate with Prof. Sean Couch. The successful candidate will lead an effort to understand the core-collapse supernova mechanism, including predictions of observables such as multimessenger signals and nucleosynthesis. Experience in high-performance computing a must and experience using the FLASH simulation framework preferred.

MSU boasts excellent resources for research in computational nuclear astrophysics, including the Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research, the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory/Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics-Center for the Evolution of the Elements. The successful candidate will also have access to Leadership-class computational resources at national facilities.
