<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">We have a postdoctoral position open in the Nuclear and Particle Physics Group at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The successful candidate will play a major role in carrying out experiments that use

 trapped-ion samples to precisely study the beta decay of <sup>8</sup>Li, <sup>8</sup>B, and other light nuclei to test fundamental symmetries in nuclear beta decay and to better understand the structure of exotic nuclei. These experiments will be performed

 at radioactive beam facilities such as ANL and TRIUMF and the data analysis will involve the development of detailed simulations and an in-depth characterization of the apparatus.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">This is a 2 year Postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of extension to a maximum of 3 years.  Eligible candidates are recent PhDs within five years of the month of the degree award at time of hire
