<div style="margin: 0px"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">For those of us wishing to continue on in academia, demonstrating commitment to teaching is a must for applications for grants, faculty positions, etc. So, we are organizing an Instructional Skills Workshop
(ISW) at TRIUMF for postdocs run by the Centre or Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL). Those completing the workshop will </span></div>

<li style="margin: 0px"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Receive an internationally recognized ISW certificate </span></li><li style="margin: 0px"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Receive a CIRTL Associate certificate recognized in the US and Canada</span></li><li style="margin: 0px"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Have access to followup seminars on, e.g., writing a teaching statement for faculty applications</span></li></ul>

your peers. You will work closely with peers and trained facilitators. In this supportive atmosphere you will have a chance to begin to develop new teaching skills, to enhance existing skills, and/or to try new and challenging ideas.</span></div>
