Title: Solid-State Laser Ion Source Developments for High Purity Ion Beams  

Abstract: With the introduction of solid state laser systems, a novel tool for the production of isobarically pure ion beams has become available. Originally developed for ultra-trace determination in analytics, the Mainz University Titanium:Sapphire laser system has been adopted for application at laser ion sources. The system has been tested at the RISIKO off-line mass separator at the University of Mainz as well as on a number of ISOL facilities. Results on stable isotope test measurements at TRIUMF, CERN, JYFL and very recently at ORNL will be presented.
