Title:     Measuring hadron production cross-sections with HARP

Abstract: The HARP fixed-target experiment at the CERN PS has measured hadron production yields for beam momenta from 1.5 to 15 GeV/c for a large range of target nuclei.

The main motivations are the measurement of pion yields for a quantitative design of the proton driver of a future neutrino factory, a substantial improvement of the calculation of the atmospheric neutrino flux and the measurement of particle yields as input for the flux calculations of accelerator neutrino experiments, such as K2K and MiniBooNE.

I will discuss the experimental setup, analysis techniques and cross-section results currently being published.
