Title: Chiral Perturbation Theory applied to Lattice QCD Simulations with Domain Wall Fermions

Abstract: The predictions from chiral perturbation theory for the quark mass behaviour of the meson masses, meson decay constants and pseudoscalar bag parameter will be compared to the data obtained from lattice QCD with Domain Wall fermions. The good chiral properties of this lattice fermion formulation are especially important for the extraction of the neutral kaon mixing parameter and therefore allow the determination of the kaon bag parameter B_K. Furthermore, the masses of the light quark can be predicted from the fits to chiral perturbation theory as well as some of the low-energy constants, which are of phenomenological interest.

Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
