Title:     Semi-Inclusive Single Pion Electroproduction on Deuterium and Proton Targets

Abstract: Semi-inclusive electroproduction of all three pion flavors (pi+/-/0)from both deuteron and proton targets is measured for Q2>1.1, 0.12<x<0.48, 0.3<z<0.7, and Mx>1.4. We study the P_t, z, and azimuthal(phi*) dependences for the ratio of yields d(e,e'pi)X/p(e,e'pi)X. From these ratios it is possible to study d and u quark distributions for the neutron and proton mainly in how the transverse momentum widths and fragmentation widths compare.
