Title: Heavy quark hadrons: a challenge to QCD

Abstract: The recent measurement of the Omega-_b mass, 6054.4(68) (stat.) (9) (syst.) MeV/c^2 is in remarkable agreement with the prediction of a simple constituent quark model with baryon-meson supersymmetry, M(Omega_b) = 6052.1(56) MeV. Results from the Tevatron for the masses of Sigma_b^+/- (uub and ddb) and Xi_b^- (dsb) baryons are also within 2 MeV of our theoretical predictions. These combined with other relations between masses and baryons of all flavors provides a strong challenge to QCD which does not simply relate meson and baryon masses.

Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
