Title:     Anapole measurement in Fr

Abstract: A measurement of the nuclear anapole moment in a chain of Fr isotopes using atomic parity violation signatures can probe the hadronic part of the weak interaction in heavy nuclei. The measurement requires trapped neutral atoms in a controlled environment. I will present the advances that the UMD members of the FrPNC collaboration have achieved towards the measurement  as well as results on the apparatus with stable Rb.
