Title: Lattice QCD and Nuclear Physics
Abstract: Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) is known to be the theory
describing the strong interactions of gluon and quarks
in the Standard Model and is responsible for nuclei and
their interactions. Lattice QCD is the only known way to
calculate low-energy strong interaction processes directly
from QCD. In this talk, I will give a short introduction
to lattice QCD, present the current status of the field
as related to nuclear physics and discuss the prospects
for future developments in the field.
