Title:     FRIB Linac

Abstract: The Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) will be a world-leading user facility for the study of nuclear structure, reactions, and astrophysics, built on the campus of Michigan State University (MSU) and funded by the US Department of Energy. A superconducting, heavy-ion, driver linac will accelerate stable beams to more than 200 MeV/u at a beam power of  up to 400 kW. The experimental program includes experiments with fast, stopped, and reaccelerated beams. An overview of the FRIB driver linac, its main challenges, and design progress will be presented.
