Title:     The ANURIB Project at VECC - plans and preparations

Abstract: VECC is planning to develop a Rare Ion Beam facility called
ANURIB (A National facility for Unstable and Rare Isotope Beams).
ANURIB facility will be built around a 50 MeV 100 kW superconducting
electron linac photo-fission driver and is planned to be a combined
ISOL and PFS type facility.
In preparation for the ANURIB project, for the past decade a low energy
ISOL type facility has been developed at VECC around the existing K130 cyclotron.
Recently first radioactive beams have been produced. Stable isotope beams
up to energy of 415 keV/u are available and efforts are on to develop energetic rare
ion beams. Development on a 10 MeV Injector Cryo Module has been started in
collaboration with TRIUMF. The funding for Phase-1 of ANURIB project is committed
from the government. In this seminar details of the ANURIB scheme, plans and
present status of the activities will be presented.
