Title:     Abandoned Landmines and other ERoW - what could High Technology do about them?

Abstract: Despite the Ottawa Treaty of 1997, better mine education, and some improvements in technology, landmines - and other explosive remnants of war - are still exacting a heavy toll in many countries worldwide. Conventional methods of dealing with them leave a great deal to be desired. This talk presents a survey of the problem, present-day methods and their drawbacks, and prospects for the future.
