Title: Giant Monopole Resonances studied with a QRPA approach

Abstract: Giant resonances are a rich source of information of nuclear structure
and they are essential to constrain the equation of
state (EOS) of nuclear matter. The EOS in turn is fundamental
when making reliable models of neutron star structure or supernova explosions.
The recent experiments of isoscalar giant monopole resonances (ISGMR)
on Sn and Cd isotopes challange the presently accepted value of nuclear incompressibility.
We compared the results obtained with a quasi particle random phase approximation
(QRPA) on top of a Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov code with the most recent experiments
of ISGMR.
