Title:     The Majorana Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay Experiment

Abstract: The Majorana collaboration will search for neutrinoless double beta decay in 76Ge by fielding an array of high-purity germanium detectors.  The Majorana Demonstrator is a R&D project that will deploy 40 kg of detectors, of which 30 kg will be enriched to 86% in 76Ge, at the Sanford Underground Research Facility.  The exceptionally low-noise p-type point-contact (PPC) detectors chosen for the Demonstrator will also enable a broad physics program beyond neutrinoless double beta decay searches, including searches for Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) and solar axions.  In this talk, an overview of the PPC detectors, the detector subsystem and the current status of the experiment will be presented.
