Title: Precision Measurements of the Neutrino Mixing Angle theta23 by the T2K experiment

Abstract: T2K (Tokai-to-Kamioka) is a long-baseline neutrino-oscillation experiment using an intense neutrino beam produced at the J-PARC accelerator in Japan. The neutrinos are characterized using the ND280 near detector and the Super-Kamiokande far detector. Using four years of data T2K has produced a number of ground-breaking neutrino oscillation measurements. The results include the first observation of electron neutrino appearance and the world's most precise measurement of the mixing angle theta-23. This presentation will describe these analyses, including T2K's treatment of multi-nucleon knockouts, an important, previously neglected class of neutrino interaction.

Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
