Title:     How many-body correlations and alpha-clustering shape 6He

Abstract: We study 6He starting from realistic nucleon-nucleon interactions through the no-core shell model with continuum (NCSMC) approach, an ab initio technique able to describe both structure and reactions in light nuclear systems. A convenient three-cluster ansatz is coupled with traditional six-body solutions in order to correctly take into account both the alpha-clustering characteristic of the two-neutron halo structure of 6He, and many-body short-range correlations. We analyze the interplay of alpha clustering and many-body correlations on both bound-state and low-lying continuum properties.
