Title: demo of ion trap based RGA (MKS VQA)
Abstract: 835 VQM (Auto Resonant Ion Trap Mass Spectrometer) for rest gas analysis- NEW Technology Presentation and Product Demonstration
This presentation will cover the basics of the physics behind this new technology, as well as the benefits and limitations of this technology. We will have an operating system with us so that we can demonstrate the product performance and operation.
Benefits of the technology that will be discussed:
Speed 20x (or more) Faster Than a Quadrupole
1-145 AMU in 85 msec
Analyze fast pressure transients
Capture complete trend data for ALL species ALL of the time (do not have to preselect what to trend)
Exceptional UHV Performance
Minimized outgassing from small surface area
Low CO, CO2 and O2 from filament
Same responsiveness and dynamic range at UHV pressures
No Zero Blast
No overrepresentation of the low mass gasses due to the mass filter technology
Small Size
Can be installed with minimal impact to tool access for chamber maintenance
Remote Electronics
1, 3, 20, or 50 Meter cables available with remote electronics
Accelerator customers can remote the electronics from the beam line
Sensor and Electronics Are Not a Matched Set
ANY Sensor With ANY Electronics
Put sensors on any chamber, connect electronics when you want mass spectrum.
Economical and efficient way to get mass spectrometers on all chambers
Simple Single Gas Calibration
Easy Field Replacement of Electron Multiplier and Filament
Low Power - Purely Electrostatic Device
Stays Cleaner
High resolution
