Title:     Non-linear structure formation in cosmology

Abstract: I will discuss recent work in understanding the development of large-scale structure in non-standard cosmological models via a combination of numerical simulations and analytical techniques. Small initial perturbations grow gravitationally and collapse under their own weight, forming a complex web that can be probed observationally via weak gravitational lensing. The details of this process of collapse and growth is modified if dark energy is different from the standard cosmological constant or if dark matter is something other than a cold thermal relic. I will discuss recent cosmological constraints from the microwave background and from weak lensing, and what we may learn in the future.
