Title: Ground-state energies and radii of medium-mass nuclei from the unitary-model-operator approach with the chiral two- and three-nucleon forces
Abstract: One of the fundamental problems in the nuclear physics is to understand the nuclear structure and reactions from the underlying nuclear interactions. The developments in the chiral effective field theory have provided the systematically improvable nuclear interactions. Combining with the recent progress in the ab initio many-body calculation methods, the medium-mass nuclei can be investigated. In this talk, I will briefly mention the framework of the unitary-model-operator approach (UMOA). The essential point of the UMOA is to decouple the one-particle-one-hole and two-particle-two-hole excitations from a reference state, similar to the coupled-cluster method and in-medium similarity renormalization group approach. Then, I will present the recent results of the ground-state energies and radii of medium-mass nuclei from the UMOA.
