Title: Long live SUSY: Moving forward with SUSY searches at the LHC

Abstract: Having reached the end of Run 2 data-taking at the LHC, no new particles hinting at beyond Standard Model physics have been observed. In the absence of a new physics discovery many fundamental questions remain unanswered. This talk will discuss the implications of the current experimental picture in the context of supersymmetry (SUSY), highlighting important caveats in the limits presented by ATLAS. TeV-scale SUSY could evade standard analysis and reconstruction techniques in cases where the spectra are compressed or the accessible SUSY particles become long-lived. These mechanisms by which SUSY might evade detection in the current analysis program are explored and ideas and prospects as we move forward into the high luminosity era are presented.
