Have you ever thought about what it would take to write a physics book for the general public, but have never taken it further?

Our Departmental Colloquium speaker a couple of weeks from now will be Frank Close. Frank is a well known author of about a dozen books, mostly popular-level publications related to particle physics. He's passing through Vancouver this Friday, and has agreed to talk informally with anyone interested in hearing about his experiences in writing and publishing such books. This includes "Trinity", his latest, which is available in the UBC Bookstore!
