[Videoconferencing] voice recorders for loan

closest match)

I have bought a couple of Panasonic digital voice recorders that can be 
used to record meetings or lectures independant of video, networking or 
mains electricity.

One is in my office (may move to Steve/Hossein's across the hall)
and one with Niki in the admin office.

They plug in like a USB stick and the recordings show up as MP3's 
timestamped with the start time.

The recordings can be played with any MP3 software. Windows Media Player 
and RealPlay both work and have a graphical seek slider and 
time-in-recording indicator, useful for finding particular sections of 
dialogue.

For intensive use, music annotation software that lets you see the sound 
envelope and tag particular time points might be useful as a step to 
making annotated realmedia or Flash presentations.
