Rick, Byron,

Do you know who did the logos as fonts before?  Byron delegated the 
style file update task to me, and I have a private version which works 
now, using eps for the logo (except that you will need to use some free 
font to replace Garamond, and second-choice Arial to replace Myriad). 
You can make pdf and ps outputs if you go through dvips or dvipdf, but I 
guess it won't work unmodified for direct pdflatex.

It would indeed be much more elegant to do the logo as a font.  But I'm 
not sure how to convert a png (or eps or jpg etc.) file to metafont. 
The geometry of the TRIUMF logo is not completely trivial, so writing it 
directly in metafont (and getting it to look right) is proving too 
challenging to be a reasonable use of time.

Does anybody know how to do either of those things, or have a simple but 
complete geometrical description of the new TRIUMF logo which I could 
translate into metafont?
