Dear TRIUMF Users & Experimenters,
The Subatomic Physics Experiments Evaluation Committee (SAP-EEC) meeting
will take place on July 7th & 8th, 2014 _(Monday & Tuesday)._
We are now accepting letters of intent, proposals, progress reports, and
status reports for experiments. Please find attached the call for
submissions memo for the SAP-EEC (includes the submission deadline and
important information regarding the EEC).
If you are planning to propose an experiment with accelerated beams of
high-mass make sure to read the guidelines for estimating the
post-accelerated yields that are provided online here (CSB Guidelines)
Please use the transmission numbers and the web-tool to estimate the
on-target intensities and major contaminations. Please ensure that you
have discussed the proposal with the experts of the respective ISAC-II
facilities (refer to the Science Division Facility Coordinators
Document)
*Call for Proposals for GRIFFIN*
We are explicitly, but not exclusively, inviting proposals for GRIFFIN,
including its coupling to the new DESCANT neutron detector array and
other ancillary detectors. All GRIFFIN proposals have to be vetted by
the GRIFFIN collaboration. Please contact Adam Garnsworthy
(garns at triumf.ca).
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Niki Martin
at sciencediv at triumf.ca.
All the best,
Niki Martin
for Reiner Kruecken, Science Division Head
and Petr Navratil, SAP-EEC Scientific Secretary
