RE: Call for Beam Requests for Schedule 132 Spring & Summer 2017 April 14th to October 2nd, 2017
We hereby invite beam requests for Schedule 132, which will start on April 14th, 2017 and run up to the mini-shutdown anticipated to begin on October 2nd, 2017.
ISAC program (Nuclear Physics and betaNMR):
We are considering scheduling targets and ion sources for both production and development. All standard target/ion source combinations are available, though target module limitations will prevent scheduling any beams requiring a bias above 55 kV. The target choices and sequence are
not yet fixed and will depend on forthcoming beam requests. For questions regarding specific requirements please contact me.
Centre for Molecular and Materials Science program (muons):
We are only considering requests for experiments using surface muons on the M15 and M20 beam lines. The schedule for muSR experiments will be prepared by Iain McKenzie.
The deadline for requesting beam time during Schedule 132 is February 2nd, 2017 at 23:59 PST. We plan to release a draft schedule on February 23rd, 2017 and hold the final scheduling meeting for all stakeholders on March 2nd, 2017. As of February 1st, 2017, Dr. Chris Ruiz will take over as the
beam scheduler and therefore he will be responsible for drafting Schedule 132.
Please submit your beam requests for Schedule 132 using the online beam request application directly at https://mis.triumf.ca/science/beam/request/home.jsf <https://mis.triumf.ca/science/beam/request/home.jsf> or through the Experimenters Dashboard at https://mis.triumf.ca/science/dashboard.jsf <https://mis.triumf.ca/science/dashboard.jsf>. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Barry Davids
Beam Scheduler
