Dear TRIUMF Users,
As you may already be aware, the RF system of TRIUMF’s main cyclotron
has sustained substantial damage over the long weekend.
We know how much our community relies on beam delivery and recognize
that this incident has significant impact on the scheduled experiments
and their research teams. We want to apologize for this major loss of
beam time and for any inconveniences or problems that it might be
causing you.
TRIUMF is committed to both restoring beam delivery as soon as possible
and to doing our best to ensure that such downtime happens as rarely as
possible. Our experts are currently assessing the situation and we will
provide updated information on the necessary time to recover as soon as
we can.
Thank you for your ongoing support, understanding, and patience. Please
stay tuned for further updates.
Regards,
Reiner Kruecken
