Beam Schedule 140 is now ACTIVE

Dear TRIUMF Experimenters, Users, Staff,

Beam Schedule 140 for the period April 9th - October 8th, 2021, is now fixed and available to view at https://mis.triumf.ca/schedule/view?schedule=140&revision=ACTIVE

Several changes have been made to the draft schedule and affected users have been informed. We thank everyone for their comments and suggestions on the draft.

The Mini Shutdown will commence at 8am on September 26th.

As we are unable to predict the status of restrictions om cross-border travel and laboratory occupancy limits for the summer, some ISAC experiments involving non-local groups have been provisionally scheduled. These are reflected on the schedule as "TBA" in the ISAC or OLIS "Note" columns. If all goes well, the experiments will be firmly scheduled and announced by June 1st, otherwise we will replace those experiments with backup ones involving local groups. We appreciate your patience in this matter. Also note that ISAC 𝛽-NMR experiment details will be inserted into the schedule in the coming weeks.

CMMS: All scheduled μSR experiments are either for local users or remote experimenters who have local collaborators. There is time available on M20/LAMPF for remote experiments, but spokespersons need to arrange for local assistance. Spokespersons are asked to contact Iain McKenzie (iainmckenzie at triumf.ca<mailto:iainmckenzie at triumf.ca>) if they are interested in this time and need local collaborators. Available dates are July 3rd - 20th and August 3rd - 17th. μSR experiments for the remainder of Schedule 140 and the whole of Schedule 141 (Fall 2021) will be scheduled after the summer MMS-EEC meeting, which is scheduled for Monday, June 21st and Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021. The submission deadline for this meeting will be Wednesday, April 28th, 2021.
