Wishing peace, love, unity,
and hope for the holiday season:
for you, for everyone you love,
for everyone you know,
and for everyone you've ever heard of.

The Pale Blue Dot is a photograph of Earth
taken Feb. 14, 1990, by NASA’s Voyager 1
at a distance of 6 billion kilometres from the Sun.
It was taken, at Sagan’s suggestion,
as the spacecraft was departing our planetary neighbourhood
for the fringes of the solar system, turning around
for one last look at its home planet.
