Dear colleagues, The RIKEN Special Postdoctoral Researcher (SPDR) 
Program for appointments starting in fiscal year 2027 is now open for 
applications, as outlined below.

Applications are also being invited in the following two laboratories or 
research teams.
· High Energy Nuclear Physics Laboratory in the Pioneering Research 
Institute

· Neutron Frontier Research Team in the Center for Advanced Photonics

The High Energy Nuclear Physics Laboratory conducts research in 
high-energy nuclear and hadron physics, including hypernuclear physics. 
The laboratory also promotes the development of high-precision neutron 
imaging technologies and their applications.
The Neutron Frontier Research Team at the Center for Advanced Photonics 
is a newly established research group that will be launched in April 
2026. Based on RIKEN’s compact neutron sources RANS, RANS-II, and 
RANS-III, the team promotes basic science research using neutron beams 
as well as applied research through the development of precision 
measurement technologies. In addition, the team will continue the 
research and development activities previously carried out by the 
Neutron Beam Technology Development Team at the same center.
Those who are interested in applying for the Special Postdoctoral 
Researcher position through either of the above laboratories or teams
