<span style="font-size: 11pt;">As part of ISOLDE’s improvement program, I’ve been granted funds for a GRAD student (formerly called CERN technical fellow) for three years, with a scheduled starting date between spring and autumn 2026. The student should have
a background in Penning traps and not be shy of the hardware aspects, although part of the work involves modelling and simulations. Below I've listed the foreseen tasks. </span></p>

verification of 3D model wrt reality, transfer of 3D model to production drawings, follow-up of the manufacturing process, assembly and wiring, and finally in-situ testing.</span></li></ol>

low as 25%. This may entail changes to differential pumping orifices, higher gas cooling pressure, and even a study on how to apply the rotating wall cooling more efficiently.</span></li></ol>
