Dear colleagues,
This is the second announcement for our fifth International Workshop
entitled: "International Workshop on Monte Carlo Techniques in Medical
Physics" to be held in Quebec City, June 17-20, 2014.
The workshop attempts to bring together developers of MC technologies
with users from clinical, industry and academic backgrounds. Topics
discussed will be code development, variance reduction, clinical
implementation and evaluation, parallel processing, GPUs, planning and
correlation studies, applications in adaptive radiation therapy,
imaging and dosimetry as well as integration of MC techniques with
non-MC related applications involving machine learning and radiation
biology modeling.
As per tradition of past workshops on this topic, the emphasis will be
to hold informal and in-depth discussions on pertinent subjects. This
setup, however, limits the total participation to the workshop to less
than 120 participants.
Further information such as registration information, deadlines,
accomodation, etc. can be found on the website:
http://www.mcw2014.phy.ulaval.ca/
Workshop registration is now open. The deadline for submission of
abstracts to the conference is April 15th, 2014.
We apologize if you receive this email multiple times. We hope to see
you in Quebec City in June.
Best regards,
The workshop organizing committee,
Luc Beaulieu, Université Laval
Philippe Després, Université Laval
Issam El-Naqa, McGill University
Jan Seuntjens, McGill University
